Another Mis-credited Film
Based on Sapper's "The Oriental Mind," this is another case of film producers' ignorance of authors' well-thought-out titles for their stories. I suppose because this story was a short story by Sapper, there wasn't enough meat in it to justify using the title. However, that never stopped Hollywood from using Poe's titles for movies that had little in common with his short stories.
Actually, this movie has NOTHING to do with an Oriental mind, except to hide things in boxes with unusual access points.

The bad guy is the real bulldog in this film
Veteran Eduardo Cianneli is actually more tenacious to the main character in this very tepid story based on the series from 'Sapper'. Overall I fell asleep during the first 30 minutes. Audiences then must have been very forgiving of ridiculous scripts.
